Fujitsu intros 300GB Calmee Moon external HDD

Filed under:

We can only surmise that Fujitsu went ahead and stuffed its own brand spankin’ new 300GB 2.5-incher into the new Calmee Moon external hard drive, and for those who freak over simplistic contrasts in color, these ought to suit your fancy just fine. The black / white (and vice versa) themed units arrive in a sleek, all-aluminum enclosure, include a one-touch backup feature, and sport both USB and eSATA interfaces. Sadly, there’s no mention of when we can expect to shell out for these eye-catchers, but it shouldn’t be too much longer for those stationed in Korea.

Saitek independent LCD interface boxes for flight sims

At E3 earlier this month, Saitek demoed a peripheral sure to spark the interest of many a flight sim enthusiast. Their product, for now with no name, enables flight simulators to display different, customizable information from the “game” on three separate LCDs. Effectively, the displays emulate a real cockpit, where each bit of information comes from a separate module that is integrated into the dash. The device is scheduled for a fall launch, will cost only $99.99, and will be supported in several flight sims beyond the obvious Flight Simulator X — we’re crossing our fingers for X-Plane support.

PhotoVu’s 19-inch widescreen digital picture frame

Filed under:

“Boy your kids are ugly” is something that no one wants to hear when looking at family photos, but if you decide to purchase the PhotoVu PV1965w 19-inch widescreen digital picture frame, you’d better brace yourself for that possibility, because this thing is kind of big. The WiFi enabled frame, which the company claims is the “first” of its kind (we assume they mean widescreen), features a 16:10, 1440 x 900 LCD screen, 802.11b, and USB connectivity (for adding flash or external hard drives). Sure, the $1,199 price tag is roughly seven-times the cost of a similarly sized cheapo LCD monitor, but can you really put a price on your memories? Yes, you can, and that price is $1,199.
