If DLP projectors are your thing, Toshiba’s got you covered with two new devices. The TDP-EW25 gets you a WXGA (1280 x 800) resolution, 2600 lumen, and a 2000:1 contrast ratio image, while the TDP-EX20 gets you all the same specs, albeit with a reduced resolution XGA (1024 x 768), and 2300 lumen picture. The TDP-EW25 claims a 1.2 meter throw distance (according to Toshiba, an industry first, which ain’t quite right), while the TDP-EX20 1.5m throw. Both projectors also supposedly support networked projection, but we don’t have confirmation on that, besides the translated mention of Vista and Ethernet. The TDP-EW25 goes on sale in Japan on October 25th for ¥449,400 (about $3,900 US), while its less powerful brother the TDP-EX20 will retail for ¥386,400 (about $3,400 US) when it goes on sale September 20th.
